As part of the HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) programme, South Tyneside Council are offering all families access to activities over Easter.
The programme includes our Discovery trails, which are fun maps exploring South Tyneside’s history and nature, and information about the Channel 7 (freeview) School Holiday Activity programme – featuring activities for children and young people aged 4 to 16 and including topics such as PE, cookery, arts and crafts, wellbeing, music, science, photography and much more.
We have been celebrating Science Week in school this week. Our theme was Garden Animals. Some children investigated Minibeasts and others Birds. We found out interesting facts about our topic and then we made our own homes or feeding stations to help look after the animals in our environment. We have had a fantastic week searching for bugs and making bird houses etc. Look at all the exciting activities we have completed.
This week, we are celebrating World Book Day – below is some information on how we will be celebrating it in school. Below is also some personalised artwork from the author of ‘Don’t call me a grumpycorn’ by Sarah Macintyre. Have a go at colouring it in and we will send it to Sarah who will post it onto her website!
Have a look at the fantastic work we have completed this week!
