We had such a brilliant day celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee before the half term! We got to have a party with all our friends, sang songs and played garden games. Have a look at some of our photos.
Year six went on a trip to Nissan yesterday. We had a great day – we had a lot to do and we were busy all of the time. It was really interesting: we learned a lot about Nissan, Japanese culture and most importantly teamwork.

One of pupils, Coby, and dance group, Dance Jam competed in a competition over the weekend. The crew came 1st in their competition, and he came 2nd in his solo and 1st in his duo! He danced in the advanced sections and has qualified for all 4 dances in the world championships that will be held later this year.
Also, keep an eye out when watching Britain’s Got Talent, you may or may not see his dance group, DJFam!
We would like to say a huge congratulations to one our pupils, Harriet, for her amazing achievement. Harriet ran the Sunderland 3k at the weekend in a time of 20 minutes! She ran this race to mark the 3 years since her major hip operation, where she spent 12 weeks in a cast unable to stand, and had to learn how to walk again.
Not only did she complete the challenge of the run but she also raised over £600 for a charity close to the family. The charity is called STEPS and they offer support to families of children with lower limb conditions.
Below is a picture to show how happy Harriet is with this achievement! We have also attached a link to the just giving page, and an article with more information on Harriet’s story. Well done Harriet, we are all so proud of you!

5 of our Year 6 children attended Cornthwaite Park last week to take part in some tree planting. This was to represent COP26, and the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The children arrived and they were met by Cllr. Tracey Dixon – we would like to thank her for inviting us to take part!
