In autumn term, the children in year six were invited to apply to be Reading Ambassadors to help promote reading across the school. Their applications were carefully considered and as the quality of the applications was so high, twelve children were appointed. The children have since met regularly to plan how they can best promote reading across the school.
Recently, they have been enjoying shared reading sessions with Year One children, as well as supporting our nursery and reception children with reading on a weekly basis. They have also completed book reviews to contribute to a Reading Ambassadors’ display board. The ambassadors will be planning further reading activities in the coming months.
